Make a Great Landscaping Website: Have Your Landscaping Web Design Stand Out

Have Your Landscaping Web Design Stand Out From the Competition

A big part of your landscaping business is aesthetics. Your post cards should be quality. Your business cards should be unique. Your trifolds and emails should be on brand.

Your landscaping business should be unique and have unique messaging. Your landscaping website should reflect that unique landscaping branding.

If you are starting your landscaping web presence, you are either starting up your lawn business or scaling your landscaping business up. That means you are dusting off your image and how the public perceives you. The goal is to stand out from the other landscaping competitors.

To stand out from your competitors, you need to a.) refine your branding and message, and b.) have the quality of website your brand deserves.

As it pertains to your landscaping web design, consider:

    • Using animations – Use these sparingly. Web design began using a significant amount of animations in the 2010’s. However, too many of these will a.) slow your website down, and b.) be seen as ‘trying too hard’ with your website. Use these sparingly, making good decisions with specific and few animations.
    • High-quality photos – Do not skimp on paying for quality photos. Pay for them if you have to pay for them. You should be able to purchase 5 or 10 quality photos for $20 – $30. (Be sure you pay for the license for these. Stock photo ‘trolls’ are on the hunt for those who use photos without permission.) It would be even better if you had budget to have your own photos taken of you and your team “in the trenches”, “in the field”. (Check out landscaping website photos here.)
  • Interactive features – Interactive features should also have a specific purpose. They should not just be landscaping web design elements. They should be selected for their unconscious influence on the user when possible.

Elements like these can make your landscaping web design stand out from the rest and show your clients that you know what you’re doing.

You landscaping web site should incorporate these elements to make a polished and sleek website that has a professional look and feel.
